EBBF Indicators Assessment Consultant
We are looking for an individual who will be working part-time in the EU funded Indicators Project until January of 2011. During this period you will be using the methodology developed by the research team and implement pilot testing of the assessment in a number of companies and organizations. You will be working in close partnership, providing feedback and helping refine these groundbreaking indicators that the European Union has commissioned us to develop. Your interactions will be with the academic team at the University of Brighton and the University of Prague that has been developing the first phase of this project.
A to be determined number of assessments, approximately five, would be performed in European companies/organizations spending approximately one week for each assessment. Then a report will be produced highlighting strengths and weaknesses of the indicators process for that company/organization. An interaction with the academic team would follow with suggested refinements of the indicators.
The contract will end in January 2011 when you will be able to undertake corporate assessment using the methodology developed, and receive a fee for these services. This is when we would see you as the leader in cascading the knowledge you have acquired into companies and organizations around the EBBF sphere of contacts, interested in using these indicators of values and sustainability in their own organizations.
You will have contact with a world network of individuals, activities and ideas which will include areas such as social entrepreneurship, corporate responsibility, responsible entrepreneurship, sustainable development, gender equality.
The ideal candidate has a high level of integrity, trustworthiness and honesty. She/He very much understands that this is a project around values and that you will reflect in your work the values that we are seeking to promote. It is essential to wholeheartedly uphold EBBF's Core Values.
We are an equal opportunities employer and we do not discriminate on any grounds rather, we are looking for diversity in our staff. However, we are unable to consider applicants from outside the EU for this post, unless they already have a work permit for the EU.
EBBF's working language is English and the successful candidate will have skills in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of another language is desirable.
DURATION: The end of this first phase of the indicators project is set for January 2011 at which time the EU-funded position will end and the individual will take the new role of consultant to the implementation of the values sustainability indicators in EBBF members' companies and organizations.
REMUNERATION: a remuneration package is included in this position, in line with the European Union's budget. Travel expenses and an honorarium will be paid for this work.
LOCATION: The ideal location is in the UK, working from the University of Brighton however we are also willing to receive notices of interest from individuals wishing to work "virtually" from their own locations.
