"A commitment to the establishment of full equality between men and women,
in all departments of life and at every level of society, will be central to the success of efforts to conceive and implement a strategy of global development. Moving from the pursuit of the interests of the individual towards serving the wider interests of humankind is the path towards world prosperity. Almost paradoxically as we get closer to reaching this wider objective, individuals will then be able to enjoy true, long-term, sustained, personal prosperity besides having enjoyed the experience of a lifetime of service to humanity.
