Introducing Action Labs: a new and committed way of learning

| July 24, 2012 | 0 Comments

The upcoming ebbf event in October will showcase a new type of workshop, the Action Lab. Action labs will run parallel to the ongoing programs delivered at Make it Meaningful events. We will come together in these labs to explore and live ebbf’s vision of contributing to a prosperous, just and sustainable civilization through our daily work and activities.

The first of these that we are excited to introduce is the Local ebbf Events Action Lab. This lab will enable you to both learn and help create your local ebbf event for your own local community: starting meaningful conversations that lead to a cycle of action and reflection. Ultimately, allowing you to create your own local learning communities.

As the best way to learn is to act, you are invited to take part in two dedicated sessions that will occur at this October’s event. Under the inspiring guidance of Stephanie Hughes, at this first action lab, you are going to help co-create a tool kit and program that will help you to organize a local ebbf event.

We will engage in social discourse in a social action dynamic that will empower us to host our own local ebbf events. We will then provide feedback of our learnings so that we can constantly evolve and improve the Local ebbf Events Action Pack. This pack will be a living document that will draw the guidelines to hosting Local ebbf Events.

Come and get involved in the creation of knowledge and in the active building of your learning community, learn how to implement and develop Local ebbf Events.

Numbers for this action lab will be limited so be sure to express your interest in this lab when you register for the event.

Additional action labs will be announced in the coming weeks.
