In his recent blog entry “New Year’s Wishes for All Leaders” he shares his greatest wish for the coming year “I pray, if I only had one prayer for our leaders, that they will seek that which unites and dismiss that which divides. I pray that our citizens will vote only for those who promote unity of thought and action and shun those who seek to promote themselves by arguing false dichotomies and division.”
BELFAST – As part of the fourth annual TEDWomen conference, some 220 local TEDx events in 58 countries around the world took place, between 5 & 6 of December, around the theme “Invented Here” and celebrated innovative inventors and designers; thinkers and makers; local problem-solvers and global leaders. This social media experiment is aimed at raising awareness of the situation of Afro-Americans in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering & math) and increasing participation of Afro-American students in these disciplines.

PHILADELPHIA (USA) – Homa Sabet Tavengar is an author and speaker on global citizenship and global inclusion, as well as a member of ebbf. Her most recent book Growing Up Global: Raising Children to Be At Home in the World is being widely-acclaimed and touches subjects such as the virtues needed to be a true friend, the practice of the Golden Rule, the contribution to peace by religions, making the world a better place through local and global service and action, the Millennium Development Goals.
