Old Paradigm, Relations of Power and the Emerging Future
There seems to be a growing awareness of the current dysfunctions and obsolescence of the (still) mainstream economic and political “system”. What are the core beliefs this “Old Paradigm” is rooted in? How can we discern what it is actually made of since we were born into it? How can we perceive the depth of its impact if it operates like a pair of tainted glasses that distort the vision of everything that is looked at through them? This sharing will therefore offer a couple of tools to discern very concretely what that old paradigm consists of, highlighting above all the underpinning idea of “separation” and the implicit sense of “lack” which constitute its foundation. The second part will focus on the primordial importance of Self-Awareness and Personal Development – including in their spiritual dimension – and proposes the hypothesis that this core intimate process is both a necessary pre-condition to actually perceive what the “old paradigm” is about – including within oneself – and to create the very possibility of the Emergence of new personal and societal possibilities.
A former professional Ice Hockey goaltender, Dr. Jean-Philippe Challandes is originally a specialist of the Nation and State building process. An expert of what is commonly described as “Modernity”, he mostly teaches in Business Schools where he helps people understand, break and overcome that very paradigm at personal, organizational and collective levels. Dr. Challandes brings creative ways of “connecting the dots” between personal development, leadership improvement and business. He defines his purpose as inviting participants to open their mind and heart to new possibilities and creating space for the emergence of new personal, organizational and economic ways of thinking. His current main unfolding breakthrough is his endeavour to infuse self-inquiry and wisdom into everyday Business Life.
