About the speaker, Anila Husain
Driven by a strong business mindset since childhood, along with the discipline of a nationally acclaimed gymnast, she was raised in Karachi, the cosmopolitan fashion hub of the East. Her interest in learning led her to eventually qualify as a Montessori International directress, living in Geneva, Switzerland for over 16 years.Having strong roots in the east, she is well aware of the challenges that a girl comes across in her life in traditional societies. Armed with her sensitivity, Anila is now committed to using her western education and free thought to help empower women around her.

In partnership with her sister, she has created her fashion brand SHENANNZ which is in the process of showcasing her east-west fusion couture collection internationally with a deeper message of women’s emancipation and empowerment. On the wings of a dream powered by her belief in equality between men and women, she is attempting to contribute in her own small way to help foster women’s creativity and create sustainable livelihood for families.

She is currently busy promoting her enterprise by engaging with like-minded people and platforms like EBBF & WE-NET across the globe.
