NEW - Opening talk on Business Ethics at ABBF's inaugurational event
by Dr. Iraj Abedjan (Economist and CEO of Pan-African Capital Holdings).
This talk offered as the keynote speech at the inaugural event of EBBF's Affiliate ABBF (African Baha'i Business Forum) offers an overview of Business Ethics and our role in promoting and living these principles in our working lives.
"Ethics pervades business decision making in all spheres of production, finance, marketing and distribution, and customer relations. The operational challenge is therefore the extent to which business decision-makers incorporate ethical standards openly into their business strategy, business management processes, and the creation of an environment in which ethical codes are practiced by “commission” as opposed to such codes being violated by “omission”."

Moral Leadership (224 Kb)
by Friedrich W. Affolter
Illustrates how values and cultured assumptions about ethics and morality are reflected in frameworks of organizational and socio-economic development leadership. Leadership frameworks are never ‘neutral’ or ‘value-detached’. Although pseudo-moral pretexts may incite intolerance and aggression, genuine moral leadership frameworks aim to strengthen individual and organizational performance, and ensure socio-ecological sustainability. Teachers, students and practitioners must learn to tacitly acknowledge and highlight their moral assumptions, and learn from one another how values and beliefs shape leadership styles and overall management performance.
